Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy uses suction to lift tissue, increase blood flow, and release tension in ways that compression-based techniques can't reach. It looks intense. Most patients find it deeply relieving.

How Cupping Works

Cups — typically silicone or plastic — are applied to the skin and create a vacuum that lifts the underlying tissue. This reverse-pressure effect separates fascial layers that have adhered together, draws fresh blood into areas of chronic restriction, and stimulates the lymphatic system to clear metabolic waste from overworked tissue.

The circular marks cupping sometimes leaves aren't bruises — they're evidence of stagnant blood being pulled to the surface. They typically fade within 3–7 days and are painless.

What Dr. Britt Does Differently

Dr. Britt uses dynamic cupping — cups applied while you move through a range of motion, rather than left stationary. This active approach, consistent with her FAKTR training, produces faster results than static cupping because it works the tissue through its full range while under decompression.
